VRM Vertical Slag Mill Working principle
The VRM Vertical Slag Mill is a negative pressure, air-swept grinding machine designed to dry and grind slag. During operation, the main motor rotates the grinding disc through a reducer, while hot air enters the VRM Vertical Slag Mill through the air inlet. The material falls from the discharge port onto the VRM Vertical Slag mill roller area above the grinding disc. The rollers crush the material, directly crushing large lumps while squeezing fine particles into a bed of material, resulting in inter-particle crushing. The crushed material then continues toward the edge of the grinding disc until it is carried away by the strong airflow from the air ring. Larger particles fall back onto the grinding disc for further crushing.
As the material in the airflow passes through the upper separator, the rotor blades pull the coarse particles back to the grinding disc for grinding. The qualified fine powder is discharged with the airflow and collected by the system’s powder collector. This collected powder becomes the finished product. Iron filings and other debris mixed with the material move to the edge of the grinding disc, where they are prevented from being lifted by the wind due to their own weight.

From Saudi Arabia
"VEST mining equipment revolutionized our Saudi copper mine – handling 50°C desert heat without performance drops. The Arabic-speaking engineering team provided on-site training that cut our ramp-up time by 65%.After 18 months, their durable grinding mill show zero wear in our abrasive conditions. We consider VEST is a reliable partner for GCC mining projects. Would recommend them for friend."

From Indonesia
"VEST has multiple projects in our area. I visited two of them, which gave me greater confidence in handing them over to us. Ultimately, our company purchased a VEST grinding mill production line, and the project passed inspection on the first try."

From USA
"After switching to VEST mining equipment, our productivity jumped 40% with half the maintenance costs. The German-engineered hydraulic system outperforms competitors in hard rock conditions. What truly impressed us was their 24/7 remote troubleshooting – a game-changer for our Denver iron ore site. Three years of zero unplanned downtime proves VEST’s ‘Built for Decades’ promise."
