Vertical Cement Mill Working principle
This vertical cement mill is designed specifically for the final grinding of cement. The grinding disc lining and roller sleeves are made of hard, wear-resistant material or ceramic, and the concentrator blades utilize special, high-quality wear-resistant plates. This minimizes equipment wear, reduces maintenance time, and improves equipment utilization.
A high-efficiency, dynamic and static cage concentrator ensures that the cement surface area is adjusted within a reasonable range and that the finished cement has an appropriate particle size distribution.
The vertical cement mill’s motor drives the grinding disc through a reducer, while the stationary grinding rollers rotate along the grinding disc raceway. Material falls from the discharge port onto the center of the grinding disc. Centrifugal force evenly propels the material from the center to the edges. As the material passes through the grinding disc raceway, it is crushed by the grinding rollers. The grinding force is provided by a hydraulic loading system, directly pulverizing large material lumps while simultaneously squeezing fine particles into the material bed for inter-particle comminution.
Drying and grinding occur simultaneously. Primary hot air flows evenly through the grinding disc via an air ring, drying the ground material as it exits tangentially from the disc and conveying it to the upper concentrator. The rotor blades carry the coarse particles back to the grinding plates of the vertical cement mill for grinding (internal circulation). Qualified fine powder leaves the mill with the airflow and is collected by the system’s powder collector, becoming the finished product.
A small amount of larger particles and impurities that are difficult to crush and cannot be removed by the primary air flow fall through the air ring into the primary air chamber below the mill, where they are scraped away by a scraper or conveyed by a conveyor through the feed port to the vertical cement mill for re-grinding (external circulation).

From Saudi Arabia
"VEST mining equipment revolutionized our Saudi copper mine – handling 50°C desert heat without performance drops. The Arabic-speaking engineering team provided on-site training that cut our ramp-up time by 65%.After 18 months, their durable grinding mill show zero wear in our abrasive conditions. We consider VEST is a reliable partner for GCC mining projects. Would recommend them for friend."

From USA
"After switching to VEST mining equipment, our productivity jumped 40% with half the maintenance costs. The German-engineered hydraulic system outperforms competitors in hard rock conditions. What truly impressed us was their 24/7 remote troubleshooting – a game-changer for our Denver iron ore site. Three years of zero unplanned downtime proves VEST’s ‘Built for Decades’ promise."
